Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Phaxis. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing multiple bi-weekly payrolls and related items, as well as maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly payrolls and related items
  • Backup to other payroll processors as needed
  • Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs
  • Collect timesheet data and payroll information
  • Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions
  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns
  • Run weekly and monthly reports as necessary
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices
  • Experience with Dayforce payroll software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High numerical aptitude
  • Detail-oriented
