Job Overview

SCI Hotels LLC is in search of enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. The primary role of the Front Desk Associate is to ensure guest satisfaction through professional and courteous service at the front desk. This position also focuses on providing efficient service to maximize room revenue. While prior customer service experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver professional and courteous service to guests.
  • Strong time management skills and capability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in understanding and following both verbal and written instructions, with effective communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when addressing guest inquiries.
  • Basic computer proficiency and fundamental math skills.
  • Customer service experience is preferred but not essential.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform job responsibilities efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Greet guests and manage hotel registration and transactions promptly, ensuring confidentiality of guest information.
  • Stay informed about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  • Execute all guest accounting functions according to established hotel procedures to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow all credit and inventory control procedures to minimize revenue loss.
  • Utilize sales techniques to promote the property, maximizing occupancy and average rates.
  • Operate the telephone system according to brand standards, using proper etiquette.
  • Accurately process telephone and walk-in reservations.
  • Monitor printing and faxing equipment to ensure timely handling of documents.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lobby area and perform laundry duties as required.
  • Clear snow from the hotel entrance and walkways as necessary.
  • Act as the manager on duty in the absence of senior management.
  • Understand and apply hotel safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences for prompt resolution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
