Guest Services Representative

SCI Hotels LLC is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. The primary role of the Front Desk Associate is to ensure a positive experience for all guests by providing professional and friendly front desk assistance. This position also plays a crucial role in optimizing room revenue through efficient service.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to deliver professional and courteous service to guests.
- Strong time management skills and capability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when addressing guest inquiries.
- Basic computer proficiency and math skills.
- Prior customer service experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform duties efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Welcome guests and manage hotel check-in and related transactions promptly, ensuring confidentiality of guest information.
- Stay informed about hotel services, accommodations, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
- Conduct all guest accounting tasks according to established hotel procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all credit and inventory control protocols to minimize revenue loss.
- Utilize sales techniques to promote the property, enhancing occupancy and average rates.
- Operate the telephone system in accordance with brand standards, employing proper etiquette.
- Accurately handle phone and walk-in reservations.
- Monitor office equipment to ensure timely processing of documents.
- Maintain cleanliness in the lobby area and assist with laundry duties as required.
- Clear snow from the main entrance and walkways as necessary.
- Act as the manager on duty in the absence of senior management.
- Understand and implement all safety and security protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences for prompt resolution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
