As an Account Representative at Anderson Trucking Service, you will be the first point of contact and voice of the company with reputable clients. Utilize a consultative approach to develop trust and mutual respect with customers, anticipating their needs and taking proactive measures to ensure positive service outcomes. With an inside-sales focus, you will manage and grow existing accounts and prospect new business opportunities. By leveraging strong interpersonal communication and time management skills, you will act as a customer liaison, managing customer communications, booking freight, coordinating appointments, spot-quoting loads, and resolving customer issues.

The Account Representative position is highly focused on meeting the needs of existing and new customers, optimizing company assets and resources while working collaboratively with sales, planning, and operations to achieve personal and company goals.

  • Create exceptional front-line customer interactions through verbal and written communications.
  • Develop additional freight opportunities through prospecting efforts to support company assets and achieve maximum utilization.
  • Become a solutions provider by monitoring the execution of our service and providing proactive communication with customers and internal partners regarding the status of loads and any issues that may impact customers, drivers, or the company.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment while upholding company guidelines, policies, and values.

Requirements

This is a challenging position in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will:

  • Have prior sales experience.
  • Be adaptable with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
  • Have the ability to anticipate situations, evaluate problems, and create solutions with a confident and logical approach.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, including oral, written, and listening skills.

Work-Life Balance

The Account Representative opportunity offers a Monday-to-Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM core schedule with an occasional Saturday morning requirement. Note that hours may change depending on the region or location of your customers in the United States, but the amount of hours worked per day will remain the same.

Compensation

Where there is challenge, there is reward - a competitive base salary along with a 3-month training incentive. Realistic first-year total compensation can range from $42,000 to $55,000.
