About the Role

An Administrative Assistant - Bi-Lingual is responsible for handling various clerical tasks in a school's office, ensuring a smooth environment for teachers to focus on education. This role is a direct report to the Principal, Assistant Principal, and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with school officials, parents, and teachers to address issues and complaints.
  • Coordinate programs and activities, ensuring availability of facilities and equipment.
  • Evaluate situations and direct them to appropriate personnel for resolution.
  • Maintain records, files, and department databases.
  • Greet visitors and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Perform record-keeping and general clerical functions.
  • Prepare reports and written materials.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • Support the Principal and administrative personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (required)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Two years of clerical experience
  • Must be Bilingual (Fluent in both Spanish and English)
  • Must be able to handle situations professionally
  • A strong desire to work towards equity within education
  • Growth mindset and a desire to learn and grow through coaching and feedback
  • Able to translate both Spanish and English
  • A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
  • Belief that all students are capable of success and deserve to be pushed to a rigorous academic and behavioral bar
  • Willingness to do whatever it takes and go above and beyond to serve all students, faculty, and parents
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 75% of the workday.
  • Able to occasionally move about inside the office and school building to meetings and other assigned duties.
  • Occasionally ascend stairs to migrate throughout the workspace.
