Job Summary

The Medical Office Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team. This role will involve performing a variety of tasks, including triaging patients, collecting medical information, and assisting providers during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage patients and collect medical information
  • Assist providers during procedures
  • Perform routine point of care testing
  • Obtain insurance authorizations
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Maintain the stock room and exam rooms

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of clerical/administrative medical office experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a medical assistant program, military corpsman program, or Certified Nursing Assistant training program

Working Conditions:

This role will require working in a fast-paced environment and patient-centered atmosphere. The Medical Office Assistant will serve as a floater between clerical and clinical staff as needed.
