Job Summary

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services is a leading provider of mental health services, and we're seeking a dedicated Youth Counselor to join our team at New Yosemite.

This is a unique opportunity to work with at-risk teens who require specialized care and support. As a Youth Counselor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and ensuring the safety of residents, staff, and site.

You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment and behavior plans, dispense medications when necessary, and promote the overall well-being of our residents.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about working with youth, has excellent communication skills, and is able to build strong relationships with residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day care and counseling to at-risk teens
  • Implement treatment and behavior plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Dispense medications when necessary
  • Promote the overall well-being of residents

Requirements:

  • B.A. in Arts/Science or related field (preferred)
  • Valid Child Development Teaching Permit or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working with youth (100 hours minimum)
