Job Title: Youth Advocate

At First Place for Youth, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Advocate to join our team. As a Youth Advocate, you will play a critical role in supporting transition-age foster youth in achieving their goals and building a brighter future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized coaching, crisis intervention, and referrals to support youth in achieving their goals
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address the unique challenges faced by foster youth
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless and effective service delivery
  • Document and track progress, including completion of state and contract required reporting procedures

Requirements:

  • BA in social work, psychology, counseling, or equivalent required
  • Minimum of four years of experience working in a child welfare social services setting or with transition-age youth
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Commitment to cultural competency and diversity, with a deep understanding of social justice and systems change
