Job Title: Residential Youth Counselor - New Yosemite

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services is a leading provider of mental health services for youth and families. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Youth Counselor to join our team at New Yosemite, a four-bed short-term crisis stabilization program for youth on the autism spectrum.

Job Summary:

The Residential Youth Counselor is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to at-risk teens with special needs in a residential treatment program. This includes implementing treatment plans, providing counseling and therapy, and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to residents
  • Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions
  • Monitor and report on resident progress and behavior
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Dispense medications and provide health and wellness support
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.A. in Arts/Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid Child Development Teaching Permit or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working with youth and families in a residential or therapeutic setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
What We Offer:

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services offers a competitive salary range of $21.37-$27.88 per hour, plus amazing benefits, including 21 PTO days per year, 9 nationally observed holidays, 401k matching up to 6%, and a $150 monthly stipend for various use.
