Job Summary

Clinica Romero seeks a highly motivated and experienced Community Organizer and Outreach Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community outreach strategies, identifying and recruiting community health workers, and coordinating community health fairs and advocacy actions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in social services, public health, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in program administration and staff supervision, is required.

The Community Organizer and Outreach Manager will work closely with the Director of Community Engagement to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing community outreach strategies to promote health equity and access to healthcare services
  • Identifying and recruiting community health workers to support outreach efforts
  • Coordinating community health fairs and advocacy actions to promote health education and awareness
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders and partners
  • Providing support and navigation to patients and their families to access community services and adopt healthy behaviors

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in social services, public health, or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years of experience in program administration and staff supervision
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate web-based systems
  • Valid California driver's license and be insurable for car insurance
