About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at St. Mary's General Medical Group. As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Act as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians, coordinating appointments, tests, and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process payments and manage patient accounts, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with business office duties, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and staff regarding medical issues and business matters.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous medical receptionist experience or background in general office work preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
