Job Summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician II to join our team. As a Biomedical Technician II, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing complex biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose complex biomedical equipment issues, implementing appropriate repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Support escalated issues from Biomedical Technician I team members, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
  • Perform planned maintenance, safety inspections, and environmental checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships, communicating proactively to ensure resolution and follow-up.
  • Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs, ensuring technical knowledge and skills are up-to-date.
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports according to schedule, maintaining accurate records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment, and maintain approved parts inventory.
  • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment.
  • Meet Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related field required.
  • 3 years of related experience required, with 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to repair machinery with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
