Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by providing sterile and clean medical equipment to the operating room and other procedural areas. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrumentation Management: Inspect, clean, sterilize, and store medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Supply Chain Management: Acquire and deliver medical supplies and equipment to the operating room and other procedural areas.
  • Quality Control: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict quality control standards to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest medical equipment and technologies, and participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Required
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of basic computer skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
