Job Overview:

Axiom Staffing Group is looking for a meticulous and organized Warehouse Inventory Supervisor to lead inventory management operations within our warehouse. The successful candidate will possess experience with inventory management systems, strong organizational capabilities, and a foundational understanding of forklift operations (preferred). This position is responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, streamlining inventory processes, and guiding a team to uphold exceptional inventory management standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Oversight:
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained using inventory management software, guaranteeing data accuracy and timely updates.
  • Perform regular inventory checks and reconciliations to detect and rectify discrepancies.
  • Establish and enforce inventory control protocols and best practices to enhance inventory flow and minimize stock discrepancies.
  1. Warehouse Management:
  • Supervise daily warehouse functions related to inventory management, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient and precise handling of products.
  • Utilize forklifts and other warehouse machinery as necessary to support inventory operations (forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory).
  1. Team Development:
  • Lead and develop a team of inventory control staff, offering guidance and support to promote effective performance.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on inventory management practices, safety measures, and the use of inventory software.
  • Assess team performance and implement enhancements to boost productivity and accuracy.
  1. Reporting and Evaluation:
  • Prepare and evaluate inventory reports to identify patterns, forecast requirements, and guide decision-making.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments, including purchasing and sales, to synchronize inventory levels with demand and organizational goals.
  • Address and resolve inventory-related challenges and discrepancies promptly.
  1. Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized warehouse space, following health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in inventory management or a related field, demonstrating a successful track record in inventory oversight.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management software; experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Forklift Knowledge: Understanding of forklift operations is preferred; certification is beneficial.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven capability to lead and inspire a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to analyze data and formulate actionable solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
