B2B Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced B2B Business Development Manager to join our team at FreshDirect. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and reactivating inactive accounts in the NY, NJ, and CT areas. Main Objectives
- Reactivate inactive customer accounts and drive revenue growth
- Acquire new customers and partnerships through strategic and follow-up tactics
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and build pipelines for large new accounts
- Reactivate high-value accounts that are currently inactive
- Identify high-value targets based on industry, title, location, and other factors
- Follow up on warm leads and capture registered, non-buying prospects
- Maintain an ongoing sales mindset to identify opportunities and drive end-to-end activities to seize wallet share growth
- Engage in high-volume inbound and outbound calls, emails, and occasional office visits to cold and warm lead prospects
- Upsell, cross-sell, and inspire utilization of key services and high-volume categories such as Fruit, Dairy, Snack, Beverage, Catering, and Alcohol for office customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in analytics and marketing to identify key trends and opportunities for multi-channel marketing and sales approaches
- Potential involvement in other special projects around business development opportunities
- Track all call and email outreach efforts in Salesforce and meet/exceed account growth and reactivated customer sales targets
- Be the voice of the prospect/customer to internal partners
Requirements
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience in the New York metropolitan area
- Proven success in driving prospect revenue growth and wallet share
- Food/office product sales experience is a plus
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- History of meeting and exceeding achievable sales targets, outbound call, and outreach metrics
- Strong verbal and written presentation, communication, follow-up, and closing skills
- Open-minded and detail-oriented with optimal organizational skills
- Ability to cope in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
