About the Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Utility Forestry Consultant to join our team at Eocene Environmental Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of power to our customers while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact property owners and public agencies to discuss pruning and removal of trees and brush
  • Conduct thorough tree and brush inventories to identify potential hazards
  • Perform hazard tree inspections and evaluations to ensure public safety
  • Plan and manage work for tree contractors to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Manage data and maintain accurate records of work completed
  • Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area
  • Enforce on-the-job safety practices and protocols
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
  • Degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experience in utility line clearance
  • Species identification skills and knowledge of invasive species
  • Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
  • Proficient in map navigation skills and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with data collection software and GIS (geographic information system) a plus
