Job Title: Ophthalmic Scribe

Associated Retinal Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Scribe to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Scribe, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Job Summary:

The Ophthalmic Scribe will be responsible for performing preliminary work-ups of patients, scribing for physicians, and assisting with examinations and treatments. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preliminary work-ups of patients, including taking medical and ophthalmic history, and measuring visual acuity and intraocular pressures.
  • Scribe for physicians, utilizing electronic medical records and image management systems.
  • Assist with examinations and treatments, including preparing patients for procedures and measuring vital signs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and correctly spell medical terminology and numbers as percentages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and provide superior customer service to patients.
Working Conditions:

This role requires moderate physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting. The work environment is clean and office-based, with potential exposure to body fluids and hazardous chemicals.
