Job Summary

Indiana University is seeking a skilled IT User Support Technician to provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving mid and low-level problems, interpreting technical issues, and providing solutions to support the university's technology infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and systems
  • Document and track calls received, and follow up with clients until a satisfactory resolution is reached
  • Stay up-to-date with university services and systems
  • Collaborate with senior-level support staff to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
  • 2 years of computer support or related experience required
  • COMPTIA A+ certification preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
