Work Schedule:
Standard weekdays, 40 hours per week, with no overtime required.

Certifications Required:
Current BLS certification and a valid state license or compact license are mandatory.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Pediatric Communication Specialist, you will primarily focus on outpatient pediatric therapy, with occasional responsibilities for adult patients and inpatient care as necessary. Your key duties will include:
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding communication strategies and therapy goals.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology or a compact license.
  • Current CPR (BLS) certification.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
