Position Overview:
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist plays a crucial role in assisting children with disabilities to achieve independence. This professional evaluates and provides treatment for young patients facing injuries, illnesses, or developmental challenges.
Through tailored interventions, they support clients in reaching their goals to enhance, recover, and maintain essential skills for daily activities and work.
Reports directly to the Unit Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric patients in Occupational Therapy, ensuring a patient-centered approach.

The results from these assessments serve as foundational metrics to determine the necessary care to address the patient's initial and evolving needs.

Maintain ongoing documentation of treatment provided, patient progress, and any changes in their condition.
Accurate patient records are vital for ensuring continuity of care and proper reimbursement for services rendered.

Deliver therapeutic interventions to children across various units, accommodating all functional levels, acuity, and specific needs.

Coordinate Occupational Therapy services for adolescents and young adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Demonstrate the ability to assess and treat all pediatric patients, including those in psychiatric care, both individually and in group settings.
Take initiative for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
A minimum of one year of experience in the field of Occupational Therapy is required.
