We're seeking a charismatic and attentive Maitre d' to join our team at Kimpton Hotel. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you'll be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and bid farewell to all guests, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
- Escort guests to and from tables, managing the flow of traffic and ensuring a smooth service.
- Be familiar with all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including food, wine, reservations, and service techniques.
- Make and coordinate reservations, log guest arrivals, and ensure a server is present to take orders.
- Coordinate with restaurant staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Act as an advocate for the restaurant, developing relationships with guests and creating a loyal following.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system.
- Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off and 401k plans to eligible employees. Our hourly pay range for this role is $20.32 plus tips, and we're committed to creating a culture that reflects the diversity of our hotel and restaurant guests.
