Vast.ai is a market based cloud computing platform focused on reducing the cost and friction of compute-intensive workloads, enabling anyone to easily leverage large-scale GPU liquidity. Vast.ai is the market leader for low cost GPU rentals. Our GPU marketplace powers AI projects and businesses all over the world.

NOTE: Currently hiring for on-site work in Westwood, Los Angeles.

About the Role

Vast.ai is on the hunt for an experienced Senior Front-End Developer to lead and elevate the user interface of our GPU marketplace. The role involves optimizing the front-end to provide a seamless, efficient, and engaging experience for both our host partners and cloud rental customers. As an engineering-led company, Vast offers significant opportunities for growth. You will play a crucial role in enabling Vast to scale its operations to handle millions of GPUs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect, test, and deploy robust front-end solutions that scale effectively across our growing marketplace.
  • Work closely with product stakeholders to improve user experience.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring responsiveness across various devices.
  • Implement new user-facing features and enhance existing functionalities to improve user interaction.
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout the design.
Example Projects:
  • Redesign the onboarding flow for first time rentals.
  • Develop interactive tools and components for better user engagement.
  • Reimagine the hosting interface for managing a GPU fleet.
  • Add an interface for a new SLA feature for both hosts and clients.
You are:
  • Proficient in React with 5+ years of job experience shipping products.
  • Experienced in responsive and adaptive design.
  • Adept at user-centered design principles and UX design best practices.
  • Passionate about crafting visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
  • Enthusiastic about the potential of AI and its impact on technology and society.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience writing high-performance, well tested, production quality code.
  • Proven track record building functional and intuitive front-ends for tech focused products.
