Position Overview
As a Senior Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Utility Scale Flexible Generation Development sector across North America. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the M&A processes for the designated operational area while also contributing to the global business planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on the acquisition of standalone energy storage projects and platforms. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Leading M&A transactions and coordinating both internal and external activities.
  • Facilitating the valuation process by gathering and validating pro forma modeling inputs in collaboration with the project finance team.
  • Managing counterparty negotiations and ensuring alignment in communications.
  • Developing materials to support internal governance processes.
  • Assisting the M&A team with transaction management, process development, and market entry strategies.
  • Maintaining transaction data and supporting group reporting.
  • Taking the lead on transactions and managing workstreams effectively.
  • Collaborating with other teams to develop and maintain commercial and competitive intelligence.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in the energy sector, ideally in roles with increasing responsibility at a developer, utility, bank, investor, or similar entity.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with proven expertise in creating and utilizing detailed, Excel-based financial models.
  • Strong commercial acumen coupled with deep analytical and technical capabilities.
  • The ability to design processes and execute programs within a cross-functional environment.
  • Proven teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Additional Information
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement and requires domestic travel up to 30% of the time, including occasional overnight trips. Compliance with all company ethics and safety policies is mandatory.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $112,000 and $172,500 annually, depending on various factors such as geography, experience, and education. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
