Position Overview:
The Recreation Therapist plays a crucial role in evaluating, planning, and executing treatment strategies tailored to individual client needs.

Targeted Conditions:

The therapist may work with clients facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to: autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbances, medically fragile conditions, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and other respiratory health issues.

The caseload may include students enrolled at Crotched Mountain School.

Qualifications Required:
Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
New Hampshire State License as a Recreational Therapist

Core Responsibilities:

Business Acumen:
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the operational functions within Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center.

Maintains professional identification while on duty.
Accurately records work hours.
Adheres to scheduled work times and completes tasks within set deadlines; keeps supervisors informed of any potential delays.
Ensures documentation meets organizational standards.
Represents the organization positively and professionally.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all client, employee, and operational data.

Maintaining good hygiene and a professional appearance.
Communicating with clients and their families with respect and dignity.

Participates in required staff meetings and reviews all meeting minutes.

Physical Demands:
Must possess the physical capability to:

Independently assist students weighing up to 50 pounds.
Collaboratively assist with the movement of students of any weight as needed.
Support the escorting or management of students exhibiting challenging behaviors.
Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Stand, walk, or climb stairs as required.

Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing administrative tasks, including computer operations.

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Bachelor's degree (Required)
