Position Summary:
The Therapeutic Recreation Specialist is tasked with the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
Specific conditions may include, but are not limited to:
autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbances, medically fragile conditions, neurological disorders, spinal cord injuries, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and other ailments affecting respiratory health.
The assigned caseload may consist of individuals enrolled in various programs.Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Business Acumen:
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the operational functions within the organization.
Maintains proper identification while on duty.
Accurately records hours worked.
Arrives at work punctually and adheres to the schedule.
Completes tasks within the allocated time frame; keeps supervisors informed of any potential delays.
Ensures all documentation meets current organizational standards.
Represents the organization positively and professionally.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all client, employee, and operational data.

Qualifications:
Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
