Position Overview
  • Conduct in-depth evaluations of the creditworthiness of both international and domestic clients through meticulous analysis of financial documents, credit histories, and other pertinent data.
  • Formulate and enforce credit policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards and corporate guidelines.
  • Assess credit risk exposure across various regions and sectors, pinpointing potential risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Set credit limits and terms for international clients, negotiating conditions when necessary to foster mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee and manage credit exposures, including the monitoring of credit limits, overdue accounts, and credit utilization metrics.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, including sales, finance, and risk management, to enhance credit decisions and support organizational goals.
  • Offer guidance and training to team members on best practices in credit risk assessment and management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and market shifts related to international finance and credit risk management.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, emphasizing key credit metrics, trends, and suggestions for enhancement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external business partners/customers, acting as a trusted advisor on credit-related issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of [7] years of experience in international finance, credit risk management, or a related area.
  • Robust understanding of financial markets, credit analysis methodologies, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in dealing with international clients and managing cross-border transactions.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment tools/software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating across teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in multiple languages may be beneficial, depending on the geographic focus of the role.
  • Knowledge of Letters of Credit and credit insurance is essential.

  • The salary range reflects the potential compensation for this role at the time of posting and may be adjusted in the future.
  • Eligible employees may participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides awards based on company and individual performance. Depending on the role, participation in the annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program may also be available.
