Land Mobile Radio Installer Job Description

J & K Communications, Inc. is seeking a skilled Land Mobile Radio Installer to join our team in Columbia City, IN. As a leading communications equipment provider, we offer a variety of products and services to clients across various sectors, including Public Safety, Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing, and Industrial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and remove new and existing land mobile radio equipment.
  • Mount and connect antennas, power supplies, and other radio components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and post-installation.
  • Conduct testing and verification to ensure system functionality and performance.
  • Basic working knowledge of hand tools and power tool operation.
  • Basic working knowledge of Direct and Alternating electrical current.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years' experience in the industry or similar industry is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-hire drug screen/physical is a must.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel (overnights) when needed.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers and clients daily.
