Position Overview:
The Site Safety Manager is tasked with overseeing the safety protocols and ensuring compliance across all project sites. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality documentation in line with corporate safety policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and enforce all safety policies and procedures, ensuring that all incidents, accidents, and near-misses are reported to uphold our core value of Safety First.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections and audits on various projects.
  • Review and analyze weekly safety activity reports.
  • Support Superintendents in work planning and the creation of job hazard analyses and safe work procedures.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, performing root cause analyses.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inspection reports.
  • Evaluate project quality and control specifications.
  • Document and observe work processes diligently.
  • Monitor projects for compliance issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee quality control functions across all project operations.
  • Prepare nonconformance reports and assist in formulating corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain compliance with project specifications related to safety.
  • Manage Hi-Rail Equipment inspection reports.


Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations pertaining to construction and the rail industry.
  • Certifications such as CSP, OHST, or CHST are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of field safety experience in heavy civil and rail construction.
  • Strong understanding of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements.
  • Familiarity with Hi-Rail Equipment functions and inspections.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.
  • At least 5 years of experience in implementing and managing safety programs on rail projects.
