Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Technician to support the Quality Control Manager in ensuring the successful implementation of our quality standards and processes across heavy civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance: Actively promote and carry out company Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures, ensuring adherence to our core values of Safety First and Quality In All We Offer.
  • Quality Control Plan Implementation: Support the Quality Control Manager in implementing and maintaining the project-specific Quality Control Plan.
  • Quality Control Activities: Supervise daily quality control activities, including testing, inspections, and documentation of self-performed work and subcontractor work.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and contractual obligations for quality control.
  • Quality Monitoring: Work closely with field personnel to monitor work quality and address non-compliance issues as they arise.
  • Quality Documentation: Assist in coordinating and scheduling third-party quality control testing and inspections, review and maintain QC documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Quality Inspections: Conduct regular quality control inspections of materials and workmanship and ensure corrective actions are taken for any identified deficiencies.
  • Quality Reporting: Assist in preparing and submitting QC reports, daily inspection logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Quality Meetings: Participate in quality-related meetings, offering input and recommendations to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Compliance: Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance with QC requirements and collaborate with the QC Manager to address any discrepancies.
  • Quality Training: Provide quality control-related training to project staff, ensuring proper execution of QC procedures.
  • Project Close-out: Assist in the project close-out process by verifying that all punch list items are completed in compliance with contract requirements.
