Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all quality-related functions within the production environment, ensuring adherence to Food Safety and Quality Assurance protocols. This role involves leading a team of Quality Control Associates and Supervisors, collaborating closely with production management to fulfill regulatory and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Food Safety and Quality Assurance initiatives
  • Lead and develop the Quality Control workforce
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Conduct internal quality audits
  • Manage documentation and validate Quality Control records
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans
  • Support audit processes and the introduction of new procedures
  • Carry out customer return audits and perform root cause analyses
  • Engage in various certification and compliance audits
  • Execute additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading Food Safety and Quality Control teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; Master's degree preferred
  • HAACP certification is mandatory
  • Familiarity with SQF certification standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry regulations and manufacturing practices
  • Proficient in managing systems across multiple departments and locations
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with conflict resolution abilities
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
