About the Role

As a member of the Community Renewal Team (CRT), you will be part of a dedicated workforce with an average tenure of nine years. Many of our team members have celebrated over twenty years of service. POSITION TITLE: Call Center Representative

DEPARTMENT: Energy

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

REPORTS TO: Call Center Supervisor

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The primary objective of this role is to fulfill the Agency's requirements by managing phone inquiries, processing fuel authorizations, and scheduling appointments.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly via phone.
  • Provide customers with relevant service information.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate program or departmental personnel.
  • Input customer fuel orders into the system.
  • Maintain call logs and generate reports.
  • Schedule appointments for customer intake.
  • Assist in training new Call Center Representatives.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Perform administrative tasks such as copying, faxing, and filing documentation.
  • Create reports using Excel.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: One to two years of office experience preferred.

Skills: Ability to multitask, strong organizational skills, pleasant telephone demeanor, proficiency with office equipment, Microsoft Word and Excel, and data entry capabilities. Typing speed of at least 45-50 words per minute is required. Flexibility with hours of operation is essential.

ADA COMPLIANCE

Physical Ability: This role involves sedentary to light work, including some reaching, handling, and feeling of objects and materials.

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination, as well as oral communication abilities.

Environmental Factors: Tasks are typically performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
