Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Abrazo West Campus. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and act as a supervisor to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provides individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
  • Coordinates care planning with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
  • Participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient satisfaction and comfort.
  • Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s) to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
  • Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
  • Prefer 1 year of acute care experience but will consider new graduate.
  • Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or must obtain within six months of hire.
  • Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care and/or Ostomy Care.
