We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our Med Surg/Telemetry unit at Abrazo West Campus. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating the functions and activities of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the scheduling efforts of the unit RNs
- Act as liaison person to internal and external customers
- Develop and implement plans/processes for meeting regulatory requirements
- Train and mentor staff
- Provide direct clinical patient care
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical nursing experience
- A nursing degree from an accredited nursing school
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona
- CPR and ACLS certifications
- Ability to effectively implement change and assist with the management of departmental budget
We prefer candidates with:
- Management experience with two years of supervisory experience
- Certification in a specialty area of practice
