Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team on a per diem basis. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care to patients based on the nursing process and patient needs.
  • Coordinate care planning with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Act as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
  • Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
  • Participate in hourly rounding and observe safety guidelines and safe work practices.
  • May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s) and supervise other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
  • Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
  • Prefer 1 year of acute care experience but will consider new graduate.
  • Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or must obtain within six months of hire.
  • Wound-Ostomy Certification or Training in Wound Care and/or Ostomy Care.
