Tesla is a leader in electric vehicles and clean energy solutions, and we're seeking a seasoned Failure Analysis Expert to join our Power Electronics team. As a member of our Failure Analysis Team, you will be responsible for analyzing complex failures in our power electronics systems and identifying root causes to improve their performance and reliability. Your expertise in power electronics, low voltage, and battery systems will enable you to investigate system assemblies, modules, components, design and conduct fault replication tests, and collaborate with other teams to implement countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex failures in power electronics systems to determine root causes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement countermeasures to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Investigate system assemblies, modules, components to identify root cause of failure.
  • Design and conduct fault replication tests experiments on power converters and low voltage PCBA's.
  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams to improve design and production yield.

We offer a competitive salary range of $104,000 to $222,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision plans, 401(k) with employer match, and more. If you have a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience, strong demonstrable experience in power electronics/power converter circuits for energy storage/automotive applications, and excellent communication skills, please apply.
