The Senior Electronics Specialist position at Tesla's Energy Division offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Failure Analysis Team, you will be responsible for investigating complex failures in our energy products, identifying root causes, and implementing countermeasures to improve their performance and reliability. Your expertise in power electronics, low voltage, and battery systems will enable you to analyze complex failures, design and conduct fault replication tests, and collaborate with other teams to implement countermeasures.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate complex failures in energy products to determine root causes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement countermeasures to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Design and conduct fault replication tests experiments on power converters and low voltage PCBA's.
  • Provide technical expertise to internal teams to improve design and production yield.
  • Support design reviews and DFMEAs based on prior failure experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of $104,000 to $222,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision plans, 401(k) with employer match, and more. If you have a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience, strong demonstrable experience in power electronics/power converter circuits for energy storage/automotive applications, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, we invite you to apply.
