The Client Manager will oversee dedicated client accounts, typically ranging from 500 to 2,000 lives. This role serves as the primary liaison for clients, providing expert guidance on contracts, plan structures, financial inquiries, renewal processes, claim escalations, and other administrative functions.

Account Oversight
  • During the implementation phase, work closely with the implementation team to grasp the specific parameters of each case, ensuring a seamless transition into the Client Manager role post-implementation.
  • Engage proactively with clients through regular face-to-face meetings and phone communications to understand their business needs and challenges, fostering strong, ongoing relationships.
  • Educate clients continuously about company processes, policies, and procedures, including navigating online services. Keep clients and brokers informed about product and service enhancements.
  • Monitor compliance with performance guarantees for assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as billing, underwriting, and claims to ensure efficient operational processes. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all service activities related to assigned clients.
  • Deliver insightful Claims Experience Reporting and data to clients, and conduct annual stewardship meetings.
Sales Collaboration
  • Partner with sales representatives to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within assigned accounts, and develop re-enrollment strategies.
  • Coordinate with sales representatives to negotiate renewals for assigned cases, effectively communicating client needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Participate in reviewing RFPs and assist in finalist presentations as needed.
  • Drive revenue growth through the addition of new lines for existing customers and increased enrollment.
Administrative Duties
  • Adhere to best practices and standard operating procedures while identifying internal issues that may negatively impact client satisfaction. Collaborate with the Regional Service Manager to implement solutions.
  • Engage in departmental and organization-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality, improving efficiency, and expanding knowledge.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in group insurance account management or client servicing.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, strong consulting and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of product knowledge, including plan designs and funding.
  • State insurance license is mandatory.
  • Proven success in managing key brokers and consultants.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong consultative, negotiation, and influencing skills with a sales-oriented mindset.
  • Thorough understanding of group insurance products, contracts, and services.
  • Knowledge of state regulations pertaining to group plans.
  • Familiarity with underwriting principles and practices.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability to change and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Professional representation of the company is essential.
Travel Requirements: Up to 50%
