Position Overview:
The Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and management of the Diagnostic Cardiac Services Department. This role involves recommending, developing, implementing, and assessing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures pertinent to diagnostic imaging. The director will provide support to senior management and oversee the selection, training, and supervision of clinical, technical, and administrative personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets effectively.
- Lead initiatives to develop and monitor department-specific systems aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care.
Essential Qualifications:
- Work Experience: A minimum of five years in a management role within a related field, with a robust background in Diagnostic Cardiac Services is required. Familiarity with IAC Standards & Guidelines for Echocardiography Accreditation is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); or
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); or
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required.
Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) certification is necessary for Radiology, CT, or Nuclear Medicine roles. Current CPR certification is also required.
Educational Background:
- An Associate's degree in Applied Sciences in a relevant field is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is mandatory.
- A Master's degree is essential.

- Analyzes service delivery challenges accurately and develops actionable recommendations.
- Maintains accurate record-keeping systems and prepares detailed reports and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with administrative, medical, professional, and clinical staff.
- Collaborates with various departments and organizations, both public and private.
- Trains staff and coordinates activities of contractors and volunteers as necessary.
- Interacts compassionately and effectively with diverse patient populations.
