Position Overview:
The Director of Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the strategic planning, organization, and management of the Diagnostic Cardiac Services Department. This role involves the formulation, execution, and assessment of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures pertaining to diagnostic imaging. The director provides essential support to upper management and oversees the recruitment, training, and supervision of clinical, technical, and administrative personnel. Additionally, the director is tasked with preparing and managing departmental budgets and leading initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care within the department.
- Essential Qualifications:
Professional Experience:
A minimum of five years in a management role within a related sector, with a robust background in Diagnostic Cardiac Services is essential. Familiarity with IAC Standards & Guidelines for Echocardiography Accreditation is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Must possess one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). A Medical Radiological Technologist (MRT) certification is required for Radiology, CT, or Nuclear Medicine. Current CPR certification is also mandatory.
Educational Background:
An Associate's degree in Applied Sciences in a relevant field is required, along with a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. A Master's degree is also necessary.

9. Competence in accurately analyzing service delivery issues, formulating recommendations, and implementing appropriate solutions.
10. Capability to develop, assess, and maintain precise record-keeping systems, as well as prepare complex and detailed reports, procedures, and contracts.
11. Proficient in effective communication with administrative, medical, professional, and clinical staff, as well as community groups.
12. Ability to collaborate with other departments and organizations, both public and private, including medical providers.
13. Experience in training staff and coordinating activities with contractors, volunteers, and other personnel as needed.
14. Capacity to work tactfully and effectively with diverse patient populations and conditions.
