A Typical Week as a Financial Systems Analyst:
  • Provide financial management support to various organizational branches or departments.
  • Offer guidance and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Assess organizational performance and analyze the impact of programs and policies on budgeting.
  • Review budget estimates for accuracy and compliance with established standards.
  • Utilize cost-benefit analysis to evaluate financial requests and explore alternative funding strategies.
  • Analyze historical and current budgets, considering economic factors that influence spending.
  • Develop policies and guidelines for budget formulation and maintenance, including conducting training for personnel on new procedures.
  • Oversee financial management across multiple funding sources, tracking budgets and variances.
  • Generate executive summaries and conduct financial reporting and analysis to address financial issues and customer needs.
  • Apply financial management principles and processes in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Input financial data into approved government systems for procurement and obligation.
Qualifications:
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in:
  • Budgeting and financial analysis at high levels of government.
  • Effective communication and briefing skills at senior leadership levels.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000, with actual compensation determined by various factors in accordance with the law.
