Position Overview

THOR Solutions is seeking a dedicated Financial Support Analyst with expertise in delivering financial services to the U.S. Navy. This role involves collaboration with a diverse team focused on providing effective solutions to the Surface Navy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage funding documentation within the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system for relevant programs.
  • Leverage the Program Budget Information System (PBIS) and Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA) for comprehensive financial analysis and reporting.
  • Compile and circulate weekly summaries of active funding, developing automated queries and reports.
  • Maintain and update the PX Tracker for accurate financial tracking.
  • Serve as the primary contact for data related to Task Planning Sheets (TPS) and task modifications.
  • Monitor fiscal year allocation plans and execution reports to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Create and refine PowerPoint presentations using financial data, showcasing advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Engage in strategic planning meetings with government and business stakeholders.
  • Execute additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position located at NAVSEA Headquarters. There may be opportunities for partial remote work within commuting distance.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily desk-based work in an office setting, which may involve repetitive motions.

Security Clearance:

A valid DoD Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Compensation:

The typical salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $100,000.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of recent experience in financial program planning and budget management, including:
    • Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process.
    • Experience with Navy financial systems, including N-ERP, EDW, COBRA, PBIS, and NEPS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Understanding of DOD and USN policies, particularly related to financial systems and budgeting processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
