About Serco:
Serco is a key partner to the US Navy, particularly in the Team Submarine contract, which focuses on the maintenance, sustainability, and decommissioning of active submarines. This innovative approach consolidates various submarine-related functions into a cohesive organization aimed at enhancing efficiency and communication within the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Financial Management team on a daily basis.
  • Deliver financial analysis services, including data collection, budget assessments, and trend evaluations.
  • Oversee essential financial operations such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial databases and spreadsheets, generating necessary financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation.
  • Design and maintain a cost database for labor and materials related to contracts.
  • Calculate estimated completions for contract requirements and maintain cost metrics documentation.
  • Conduct cost estimations for various systems and analyze contract changes.
  • Track invoices and maintain a database for labor materials and hours spent on contracts.
  • Provide financial models and statements, applying forecasting techniques and evaluating performance against budget submissions.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Head and field activities to set funding priorities.
  • Reconcile Spend Plans with Resource Management Plans.
  • Prepare briefs for both Unclassified and Classified audiences.
  • Set meetings and coordinate Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
  • Uphold high standards of performance and conduct.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and contribute positively to the work environment while managing multiple deadlines.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • An active or current DoD Secret clearance.
  • Eight to ten years of experience within the DoD or Armed Forces.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the Navy's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The willingness to travel at least 10% of the time.

Preferred Skills:
Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:

  • Experience supporting a DoD customer as a financial analyst.
  • Knowledge of Navy Appropriations, particularly O&M,N accounts.
  • Expertise in Budget Automation and Process Improvement.
  • Skills in Cost Analysis and Data Management.
  • Familiarity with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience within Team Submarine or submarines in general.
  • Understanding of DoD policies and NAVSEASYSCOM/Team Submarine procedures.

Compensation:
