In this position, you will:

  • Conduct a thorough evaluation of a client's existing accounting framework and operational processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing various facets of a company's financial management.
  • Execute the proposed enhancements to the client's accounting system.
  • Support clients in management reporting, which includes budgeting, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics, along with internal assessments of these reports.
  • Investigate, identify, and develop innovative business technologies to optimize and expand our practice, including opportunities with current clients.
  • Lead a team of Outsourced Accounting professionals, focusing on continuous education, training, and professional growth.
  • Engage in the proposal development process for potential clients.
  • Act as a representative of FORVIS in both professional and business circles.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage changing priorities, and handle multiple time-sensitive projects with various deadlines.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information to senior management, public audiences, and board members.
  • The capability to succinctly highlight key objectives.
  • A strong interest and aptitude for mastering new software and technologies.
  • The awareness to identify ineffective approaches and adapt to new strategies seamlessly.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing team members.
  • The willingness to travel as necessary for client engagements and professional events.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting or organizational accounting operations, including expertise in accounting systems, financial statement preparation, and oversight of accounting, payroll, and sales tax functions.
  • The ability to navigate various accounting software and supplementary platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Experience with accounting software, monthly processing, financial statement analysis, and preparation.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CGMA, or CMA.
  • Advanced certification in QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and relevant accounting specialist certifications.
  • A background in business development.
