We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at KCA Recruiting. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, and providing expert advice to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end financial statements and prepare various audit schedules
- Post cash to account receivable and ensure accurate financial records
- Prepare, review, and approve adjusting journal entries to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to identify any discrepancies
- Track and record capital expenditures, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Prepare monthly financial reporting to support the company's line of credit and ensure timely payments
- Prepare and submit monthly state sales tax returns via Avalara, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Assist in researching and resolving problems related to accounts receivable and payable
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with intermediate-level skills
- Experience with ERP systems and general ledger management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
This is an on-site role with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.
