Job Summary

The Process Engineering Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Process Engineering organization at Plug Power. This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards, and developing and maintaining process documentation and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the creation of process documentation and workflows for manufacturing processes and production material flows.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Plug Power products and related manufacturing objectives and engineering constraints.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement projects, including Kaizen and training events, using Lean-Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • Support the development and maintenance of manufacturing process key performance indicators (KPIs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct process audits to ensure process discipline and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operations-related concerns and drive root cause improvements.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
