HNTB is recognized for its extensive expertise in both local and national projects. Our Water Services Practice in Wisconsin is seeking a dynamic engineer to contribute to projects involving flood management, stream restoration, green infrastructure, stormwater management, and conveyance systems.

Role Responsibilities:
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver impactful projects. This position offers mentorship opportunities alongside seasoned professionals with over 35 years of experience.

Key Duties:
- Oversee the production and refinement of design calculations, technical documentation, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with project managers to conduct research, development, calculations, design, and project delivery.
- Utilize engineering methodologies, procedures, and design standards for complex and interdisciplinary projects.
- Employ your technical expertise to resolve design-related challenges, working closely with project managers through innovative problem-solving and client interactions.
- Create both conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to facilitate project completion using advanced drawing and technical software.
- Mentor and review the work of junior engineering staff, providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.

- Demonstrated technical knowledge and quality output in multi-disciplinary projects.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accountability to the project team, ensuring high-quality, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.
- Visionary thinking that anticipates risks and evaluates the impact of decisions.
- Understanding of project delivery objectives and the influence of various disciplines on project development.
- Capacity to apply accumulated knowledge to enhance project efficiencies.
- Proficient technical skills to identify issues, devise suitable solutions, and make informed decisions for optimal project outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification, depending on discipline.
