Job Overview

raSmith is a leading multi-disciplinary consulting firm seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineering Project Manager to join our Structural Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading business development efforts, managing client relationships, and overseeing the design and analysis of various building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Lead efforts to secure new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships.
  • Project Management: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Design and Analysis: Perform and lead the structural design of various building projects, including development of design documents, calculations, and specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor Project Engineers and BIM specialists to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control and construction administration duties to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in structural design of buildings and related structures.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs, including Revit.
