About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at RiverVista Behavioral Hospital. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing professional, compassionate care for adults and seniors in need of behavioral health services in the Columbus, OH area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Report all changes to the RN, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
  • Perform routine procedures, such as vital signs and accuchecks, to monitor patient health.
  • Assist in the admission process by orienting patients to the milieu, promoting a smooth transition.
  • Secure patient belongings, valuables, and documents in accordance with policies, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Perform ongoing observation of patients, carrying out specific interventions to ensure patient safety, including frequent rounding, primary searches, and visitor control.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • To be at least 21 years old
  • Preferred STNA or Nurses Aide certification
