Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at InterMed, P.A. as a Budget and Forecasting Financial Analyst. This role will be responsible for executing the annual financial budgeting process, developing a rolling quarterly/multi-year forecasting system, and assisting with the analysis of variances between actual and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the annual financial budgeting process and prepare the budget package.
  • Develop a rolling quarterly/multi-year forecasting system consistent with the principles of the annual budgeting process.
  • Assist the Director of Finance and Controller in analyzing variances between actual and budget, and lead the drafting of a monthly "Management Discussion & Analysis" to accompany reporting to leadership.
  • Lead and perform all calculations associated with shareholder and non-shareholder provider compensation topics.
  • Conduct calculations related to physician productivity and related incentive compensation amounts.
  • Ensure that all compensation policies are fulfilled and associated documentation is maintained in an orderly way.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits Administrator to monitor compensation variances due to leaves of absence.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights under HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA guidelines and InterMed policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, with three years of experience; or a combination of degree and relevant experience required.
  • Strongly preferred experience with Microsoft SQL.
  • Preferred experience with Prophix FP&A and budgeting system.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare and private practice physician groups.
  • Preferred experience in Sage accounting system.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a sense of urgency and results orientation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues to effectively address the needs of physicians and management.
  • Demonstrated discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and uphold InterMed's Values.
