Job Title: Senior Accountant

This is a 6-month project opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team at Jobot Consulting. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the general ledger, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and providing expert advice to clients on various financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reflected.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and forecasts.
  • Provide management accounting insights, including cost analysis, profit margins, and budget variances.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, including forecasting revenue and expenses, analyzing trends, and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on various financial matters, including tax planning, investment strategies, risk management, and financial planning.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a consulting or finance-related industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting principles and procedures, including general ledger functions, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, including the ability to prepare detailed reports and present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience in management accounting, including cost analysis, budget preparation, and financial forecasting.
  • Strong skills in accounts payable and receivable management, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and make sound recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
